SproutStudy Set
Test students' green thumbs as they experiment with growing plants in different environments!
Students discover the science behind seed and plant anatomy as they germinate herbs and flowers. They learn about the various factors and conditions plants need to grow. This includes experimenting with light sources and how the amount of light each day impacts an indoor herb garden. They can also test theories by limiting how much water is provided to plants, changing the temperature, or adjusting the amount of space where a plant grows. In the process, students learn how plants absorb nutrients and how long it takes for them to grow under different conditions.
Each planter (3"L x 3"W x 3"H) includes a fertile fiber pot, soil pod, wooden stake for plant identification, and a packet of seeds. Complete Set includes 32 planters (8 ea basil, oregano, parsley, marigold), 4 spray bottles (16 oz), and lesson direction. The included lesson direction details setup instructions, activities by grade level, learning objectives, and teaching suggestions to expand lessons. Recommended for Elementary and up.
