Solar Bug Kits
Create solar-powered bugs that make noise and buzz around the room while learning about energy!
Explore solar energy in a fun way while building bugs using a simple solar circuit with conductive tape. Students start by cutting out a bug, decorating it, and connecting a solar cell and vibrating motor with the conductive tape. Once built, students can release their bugs and watch them move around any smooth surface when in direct sunlight. Online guide includes additional body parts and bug designs that students can print for further inspiration. Guide also features student activity pages and lesson plans.
