Run for the Money Set
Face-paced, active math games exercise students' bodies and brains!
Increase number sense and learn about currency while incorporating activity and strategy into kinesthetic lessons! Start by scattering all coins in the center of the play area. Divide students into four teams and have them surround the coins. At the signal, students run and collect as many coins as they can and bring them back to their team's zone. After collecting and counting the coins, teams add the face values of each coin together. The team with the most money wins! Other games focus on collecting coins of a certain value or finding coins that add up to a certain value. More advanced students can also learn how to find the mean, median, and mode of numbers. Set includes 88 polystyrene coins (5" dia x 1/16" thick) and lesson direction with three brain-building activities. The included lesson direction details setup instructions, activities by grade level, learning objectives, and teaching suggestions to expand lessons. Recommended for Elementary and up.
