Students rotate pentomino shapes to find the orientation and placement needed to complete block puzzles. Younger students practice skip counting and basic operations as they keep track of their score. Challenge older students to find the surface area and volume of the different pentomino shapes. In addition to practicing math skills, the competition that comes along with this game-based activity allows students to practice perseverance and emotional regulation.
This oversized game encourages students to get up and be active while they practice geometry skills. Urethane foam pieces are lightweight and easy-to-manipulate, while the durable ABS frame (26"L x 13"W x 36"H) with tarp holds the stack in place. Included lesson direction is adaptable for Early Elementary through Middle School. Fit the frame and pieces in the included mesh bag for neat storage. Accommodates 1-2 students.
