Pocket-sized robots create big excitement for robotics and coding! Evo, a more advanced bot, adds additional features and coding capabilities to challenge and engage students. It can be programmed two ways to do unique tricks through the OzoBlockly software or using color code markers. OzoBlockly is a drag-and-drop programming interface that is easy to use and gets students immersed in using technology to code. Simply select a category (movement, lighting, timing, or loops) and drop bricks from each category to customize your bot. Have it zigzag and light up before moving forward and spinning! Next, calibrate your bot, load the programming, and go. Color code markers encourage students to physically map out code, instead of using a screen. Optical sensors follow lines students draw to create unique behavior. Each color commands a different direction or speed.
Evo features a durable polycarbonate shell and rechargeable battery. It includes 7 LED lights for multiple color options/patterns, has proximity sensors to dodge obstructions, and a built-in speaker for sounds. Available in sets (set of 12 accommodates 24 students, set of 18 accommodates 36 students) for group collaboration and friendly competition. See below for full contents lists and technical specifications. Kits come with white bots. Educators Pick Best of STEM® 2023 Award Winner. Recommended for Elementary and up.
