Human Activity & Environment Kit
Active lessons demonstrate the impact of humans and the environment.
Environmental science curriculum introduces food web relationships and the environmental effects of severe storms, drought, housing developments, fertilizer runoff, and more. Hands-on activities help students understand nature's ability to restore balance between the number of different types of organisms, such as predators and prey. Students learn the importance of using natural resources wisely to help maintain the natural balance of our planet.
Lessons guide students through 4 activities: The Salted Roads, The Runoff, Flooded Farms, and The Forest Community. Required, but not included: fresh celery, dominoes, recycled milk jugs or flower pots, beakers or jars, yeast, salt, and sugar. Accommodates 24 students. Recommended for Upper Elementary and Middle School.
