Edventures Summer Camp Classics Program
Head to camp without worrying about what to pack with fun, collaborative STEM camp activities focused on engineering, physical science, and art!
Encourage creativity, communication, and critical thinking as students complete fun summer STEM activities. All lessons focus on a skill that is traditionally learned at summer camp and incorporate a STEM learning challenge. Students work together to craft friendship bracelets, design leaf prints, and even create a blueprint on new ways to make s'mores. Each activity includes a materials list, background information and vocabulary, step-by-step instructions, and optional activities to expand learning opportunities. Materials can be used indoors or out, allowing teachers to fully engulf students in the summer camp theme.
Curriculum includes 12 one-hour lessons. It is great for use in classrooms, afterschool programs, and summer camps. Store materials in the included storage tub. Accommodates 30 students. Recommended for Middle School.
Standards: Aligns with NGSS.

Next Generation Science Standards*:
- MS-ETS1-1: Define the criteria and constraints of a design problem with sufficient precision to ensure a successful solution, taking into account relevant scientific principles and potential impacts on people and the natural environment that may limit possible solutions.
- MS-ETS1-2: Evaluate competing design solutions using a systematic process to determine how well they meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.
- MS-PS3-2: Develop a model to describe that when the arrangement of objects interacting at a distance changes, different amounts of potential energy are stored in the system.
- MS-PS3-3: Apply scientific principles to design, construct, and test a device that either minimizes or maximizes thermal energy transfer.
