In this middle school STEM program, students code robots to navigate an interplanetary city of their design.

Students assemble and use block-based coding to program mBot Neo robots, guiding them to traverse the streets of their city, avoid hazards, simulate distress calls, and complete rescue missions. Over 12, 1-hour lessons, students take on roles such as commander, data analyst, medical specialist, engineer, and navigator. They employ the engineering design process to build their robots, adjust their codes, and construct their cities. Through this hands-on experience, students develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while working collaboratively.
