Biodegradable PLA produces objects with a shinier and smoother appearance but is less durable than ABS. It also melts at a lower temperature so is preferred for use with younger students. It is safe to use indoors. Oil-based ABS is the more durable option. It melts at a higher temperature and because of its composition, must be used in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Both filaments are 1.75 mm dia and feed without jamming. 1.0 KG spools.
