This comprehensive curriculum integrates STEM into language arts, math, and social studies classrooms with hands-on science activities, creative writing prompts, instruction cards, and more. Students will be challenged to learn about programming and today's technological innovations while improving problem-solving and critical thinking skills. They'll also learn by inquiry using Scratch, a drag-and-drop coding interface developed by MIT. During a series of experiential coding activities, learners will make an animation, light up an LED pixel matrix, and hack a video game by changing its code and observing their effects on the program. Recommended for Upper Elementary.
