Students bump into each other while wearing oversized belly bumpers to illustrate Newton's Laws of Motion.

Let students see Newton's Laws of Motion in action while learning about and defining the concepts during physics experiments for kids. Assign 2 students to wear the BigBopper Belly Bumpers. First, have one student remain stationary while the other runs toward them to display the effects of Newton's First Law of Motion. Then repeat the experiment, but have both students move toward each other and collide while in motion. Students will identify the external forces acting on the belly bumpers and how see energy is transferred. They also discuss the differences between mass and weight, as well as speed and velocity. BigBopper Belly Bumpers are made of durable .4 mm thick vinyl with reinforced seems for superior air retention. It includes 2 handles for enhanced control.

Set includes 2 belly bumpers (24"H x 48" outer dia; 16" inner dia) and lesson instruction that is adaptable for grades 5-7 and 8-12.
