Explore the impact of waves on environments, resources in and around the water, and the natural hazards they create!

Hands-on experiments let students research the amazing power and effects of waves! They perform 7 activities (3 demonstrations, 2 hands-on activities, research/presentation, and written art project) to learn about the several types of waves, what generates them, and how the texture of sand impacts the amount of erosion on coastlines. They will also identify the effects of natural and human-induced hazards, as well as how water keeps ecosystems functioning and resilient. Use your own computer with internet for more in-depth research projects. Designed for up to 24 students, content list below. Recommended for Upper Elementary and up.
