Wind Hydro Turbine Class Kit
Students engage in comprehensive STEM principles of vertical, horizontal, and hydro turbines.
Research, engineering, and design activities in the turbine kit provide students with a hands-on understanding of how the power of wind or water can be harnessed as a renewable energy source using cutting-edge sustainable engineering technologies. The included curriculum unit has students build working models of vertical, horizontal, and hydro turbines, then rely on the scientific method, engineering design process, and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of hydropower as a renewable energy source in the real world. Advanced students can even design and test their own turbine components using the included 3D printer. Includes enough pieces for 30 students. Full contents list below.
