Renewable Energy Education Set 2.0
Small-scale energy experiments demonstrate the big impact of clean energy technologies!
Discover the science behind renewable power microgrids through a combination of technologies using this introductory science kit. Working together in teams of up to 5, students find out how heat, shade, and the tilt of a solar panel affects its ability to generate energy. Other experiments include producing energy from a wind turbine with blades based on NASA aeronautics, generating hydrogen through water electrolysis, and converting hydrogen into electricity with a PEM fuel cell. All lessons and activities highlighted in the included curriculum align with Next Generation Science Standards. Recommended for Upper Elementary and up.
