CreateKit Machines Class Kit
Rube Goldberg machine kits feature interactive supplies for fun engineering challenges!
Rube Goldberg never actually created any of the contraptions he is famous for cartooning, but this kit allows your students to bring his illustrations—and their own—to life! Choose between a large kit designed for the classroom or a compact kit for learning at home.
Class Kit. Containing enough creative making materials for a full class (approx. 24 students) to engage in simple hands-on engineering tasks, your classroom will soon be adorned with rubber bands, construction paper, golf balls, dominoes—and lessons learned.
Included lesson direction guides small groups of budding builders through the engineering design progress as they create their own Rube Goldberg machine! Lesson direction details setup instructions, activities by grade level, learning objectives, and teaching suggestions to expand lessons. They'll learn to define and research problems, then brainstorm, prototype, and test potential solutions. Teachers can tweak the rules by requiring specific simple machines or put a dollar value on supplies and have students optimize their creations for cost. Recommended for Elementary and up.
